Shammi
Jalota, BSc
Shammi's
community/race relations and broader diversity experience spans over
10 years. He has delivered training and consultancy to a variety of
voluntary and statutory bodies across the UK. He has vast experience
of local Government and the Criminal Justice System. Shammi has a
breadth of knowledge of equal opportunity audits and analysis, policy-making
advice, and practical support with strategic development.
Shammi has spent over seven years working with Black and minority
groups and communities throughout the country, focusing on race and
broader diversity issues. He has proven skills in the development
of human and sustainable community resources. Central to all of his
work are the notions of focusing on individual responsibility, and
helping clients to look at their own attitudes to 'difference' rather
than looking at the characteristics of different groups. Some of Shammi's
clients include Essex Constabulary, Crown Prosecution Service Essex
and Hertfordshire, NSPCC, Colchester Borough Council, Oxford City
Council, Cambridgeshire Youth Offending Service, and housing providers. |
